According to a recent permit filing, Coq Au Vin has its eyes on a new location at 938 North Cook Street.

A representative of Coq Au Vin was not immediately available to comment upon What Now Portland’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to an article from Bridgetown Bites, “Last year I wrote about Coq Au Vin, a farm-to-table restaurant in NW Portland. Their time is up there, due to changes they want to make with the business: doing less butchery, and more cooking.”

“Their restaurant will set up shop in a converted two-story house on, appropriately, Cook Street. Its location on this block of Cook Street is almost to where it hits the bottom of N Michigan Avenue.”

The company website says, “Founded in 1999 by George Page, Rose Allred joined the operation in 2012. George & Rose have been delighting the palates of our diners for over 25 years.”

“As if you were dining in our home, we craft a new menu daily. Impassioned by what is fresh and seasonal on our farm and at the markets, we draw inspiration from the bounty of our larder to prepare meals rooted in the time-honored traditions of French and Italian countryside homestyle cooking.”

“Hearty and nourishing, we ensure your body and soul are satiated, delighted, and replenished. Our delightful “Menu du Jour” is designed to be enjoyed leisurely for two or three hours.”

“We encourage you to relax, linger, and relish in the company of dear friends and family as we guide you through a multi-course expression of our farming and culinary journeys.”
