Dave’s Hot Chicken is planning a new location at 16333 SE 12th St, Building A, in Vancouver’s Fisher’s Landing area, taking over the space long occupied by a now closed Jack in the Box. The location is owned by JCK Companies, managed by Alex Karcher, according to a source familiar with the plans, though the company itself has not yet issued a formal announcement.

JCK Companies operates a growing portfolio of fast food franchises across Oregon and Southwest Washington, including Carl’s Jr., Human Bean coffee stands and Jersey Mike’s locations. The group signed on to bring Dave’s Hot Chicken to the region under a separate entity, JCK Birdz, marking its fourth franchise brand. The company already operates other Dave’s Hot Chicken locations in Eugene, Springfield and Tualatin.

Dave’s Hot Chicken started in 2017 as a pop up stand in an East Hollywood parking lot before growing into a national chain with nearly 300 locations, known for Nashville style hot chicken tenders and sliders served at spice levels ranging from no heat all the way up to its intense Reaper level. The chain already operates two other Vancouver, WA locations, giving this Fisher’s Landing spot a built in fan base nearby.
