A new restaurant from a local business owner is coming to the city soon.

In a recent post to the Columbia Gorge Happenings Facebook page, owner of the project Kumar Murti posted that his new Indian restaurant called Desi Bite is coming soon. An exact address has not been released, but it will be in Hood River’s downtown.

Murti is a local chef who is planning a new business venture. He would join other Indian restaurants in the area including Hindustani, Kirpa’s Indian Cuisine and Indian Bowl & Roll. Murti seems to be connected to Kirpa’s Indian Cuisine at 4040 Westcliff Drive.

Right now, Desi Bite is not listed on the Oregon Secretary of State Business Search. When speaking on the phone with Murti, he did not want to provide an address as of yet.

The menu is expected to have chicken curry served, as displayed in the Facebook post about the project. This and more about the restaurant will be released at a later date.
