A Vancouver bakery that closed in October is expected to be coming back to the community in the near future.
Conversations have sparked online about when Forevers Bakery will reopen at 6400 NE Highway 99, Suite C. The company is currently accepting takeout orders for pies while restructuring is happening. An official reopening date has not been announced.
Owner Lisa Vasquez started the bakery five years ago, and her business has become a favorite in the Hazel Dell community. She offers a breakfast menu of sandwiches, avocado toast and croissants. A lunch menu, soup of the day and side salads can also be found on the menu. Of course, being a bakery, items like cookies, cakes and pies are favorites on display inside.
“Forevers Bakery will be closed temporarily a few months so I can properly align priorities and restructure into a better business,” said the post on Facebook. “I appreciate all the support and will be back soon!”
The bakery is in the Hazel Dell Center shopping area, across from Kobe Hibachi Grill & Sushi and attached to the same building as Oh My Teriyaki. In the post, it does not sound like Vasquez will be relocating, but the business will be amended in some way.
Vasquez has not yet responded to What Now Portland’s request for comment. More information can be found on Forevers Bakery’s website.
