According to a recent permit filing, Fremont Garage aims to debut at 4403 NE Fremont Street.
“We’re really excited about the project. It’s going to be a cool spot. There will be a food cart pod and a bar right in Beaumont,” one of the brains behind the operation, Cameron Chester, told What Now Portland.
Fremont Garage’s planned days of operation will be every day from 10 AM to 11 PM with no seasonal variation. This will also apply to outdoor operating hours with food and alcohol service options. A live music schedule is listed as “TBD.”
DBS Group looks to be behind the new concept, and the property was formerly Barrett Automotive. According to an article from Bridgetown Bites, “On site, there is a “tiny building,” about 350 square feet in size, that still needs to be removed. After that is done, what will remain is a 3,000-square-foot building on the 8,000-square-foot lot.”
“This building will become a location for a cafe and bar, as well as four bathrooms. The plan is for a coffee lounge to operate in the morning, and then a bar starting mid-afternoon, with a partition between the two operations. The removal of this 350sf building also means there will be more room for carts.”
