According to a tip sent to What Now Portland, a new concept called Hechalou Tea aims to debut in Beaverton at 14657 SW Teal Boulevard.

Hechalou Tea’s first US-based location will open in Long Beach, California, which would make this the second US location for the brand. Behind Beaverton’s location is Chia Hao Huang. Additional information about the opening has not yet been provided upon What Now Portland’s request.

According to a recent post from Hechalou Tea’s Facebook page, “Authentic Taiwanese flavors are here! The most authentic bubble tea & jelly drinks from Taiwan have finally arrived in Portland, Oregon! From chewy pearls to silky-smooth jelly and rich, creamy milk tea—every sip is a taste of Taiwan.”

An article from Secret Los Angeles tells us more about Hechalou: “What makes Hechalou stand out is its teas imported directly from Taiwan, guaranteeing an authentic flavor experience. Most of their freshly brewed teas are topped with their handmade tea jellies, which have taken social media by storm. The jiggle isn’t all looks — they provide a variety of flavorful teas, toppings, and jellies — so you’re bound to find something to get your tastebuds dancing.”

A message from Hechalou’s California location confirms this on Google, adding that the concept is an “Authentic Taiwanese Boba Tea shop known for tea jellies. The menu includes Loose Leaf Teas, Milk Teas, and Fruit Teas. All Jellies/Puddings hand made in-store. No fruit syrups are used in any of our teas, only fruit juice is used.
