The high-end downtown hotel will soon open a new dining destination on the ground floor.
A liquor license application was recently submitted for Hotel Vance at 1455 SW Broadway. This is for the new restaurant concept opening called Vance and Vine. There is not yet an opening date, but the hotel is currently hosting food pop-ups to promote the restaurant.
Kelly Patterson, executive chef for Hotel Vance, told What Now Portland the space is now going through a remodel. At the hotel, there is also a Starbucks inside the lobby, and Vance and Vine will be the second culinary addition. Patterson said this is meant to attract local businesses both inside and outside the building,
“We’re just trying to gain traction and excitement,” Patterson said.
For the food pop-ups, the hotel is collaborating with local vendors including Carlton Farms. Collaborations are also happening for alcoholic beverages, and these will be hosted until the restaurant opens.
Hotel Vance is right next to the Gallery Park Apartments in downtown, attached to Hunny Beez and Heroes American Cafe. This area of downtown has a thriving restaurant scene.
The menu is set to have American dishes, but the items have not yet been released. It will have room for 50 to be sat inside and 10 outside. The official location inside the building is not confirmed, but construction is currently ongoing.
