Following a change of concept, a new pizza spot with international flavors is coming to McMinnville.
From their social media, Spices N’ Slices is coming to 328 NE Evans Street. The owners have been looking to find a location in McMinnville for about six months. Co-owner Ishaan Johal told What Now Portland the restaurant will open around mid-January.
“Spices N’ Slices brings together the rich flavors of Indo-Chinese cuisine and the beloved tradition of pizza,” says the description on their website. “Our story is a blend of culinary creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.”
Johal started with a pizza restaurant in Corvallis for a year, and he then sold the business and decided to pursue a new concept. As McMinnville is his home town, he is very familiar with the area. The new location will be moving down the street from Taste of India, which Johal also owns.
For the menu, Indian pizza is main focus, with sauces like curry infused. Butter chicken, wings with tandoori sauce and hakka noodles will also be options. The sauces will be prepared at Taste of India, and the dough is being made at Spices & Slices.
