According to a recent permit filing, Jewel Box Steak will open its doors at 149 A Avenue in Lake Oswego.
“We will be opening our doors sometime in late fall,” Lisa Shaw-Ryan, the owner, told What Now Portland, “Jewel Box Steak will be a neighborhood gem. We will have amazing steaks, classic sides, European-style desserts, cocktail favorites from around the world, and perfectly paired wines all in an elegant, fancy but not fussy space.”
The total building size is a generous 40,550 RSF, located amidst a community of neighboring tenants such as Chico’s, Peet’s Coffee, Pendleton, Tucci’s, White House Black Market, and Wizer’s, according to Office Space.
The permit filer is Lisa Shaw-Ryan, who also owns Chuckle Pies and Casa Pequena Taqueria. Jewel Box Steak is described as aiming to redefine the dining experience in style, with a blend of old-school charm with modern flair, promising a sophisticated yet approachable destination perfect for date nights and more.
One-half of the establishment will be dedicated to the classic steakhouse experience, and the other half reserved for Bar Ruby. Here, you’ll find a more relaxed atmosphere with casual seating and an open kitchen.
The menu at Jewel Box Steak will offer an array of options, including filet mignon, New York steak, and prime rib. For those seeking alternatives, there are seafood dishes and various European-style desserts as well. To complement your meal, a selection of classic cocktails such as martinis and old-fashioneds, along with a carefully curated wine list, will be readily available, according to the previously mentioned Lake Oswego Review article.
