JinJu Patisserie is putting their chocolates away, but not for long.
Bridgetown Bites broke news on JinJu closing their flagship location at 4063 N Williams Avenue. The patisserie has been open for six years, and the owners believe it is “time for a new chapter.” They are now looking for a new location that will be announced soon, staying in Portland city limits.
Jin Caldwell and Kyurim “Q” Lee will be closing their location on Dec. 28 and will run pop-ups in the future. In a recent post, the owners mentioned they almost signed a seven year lease for a new “state-of-the-art facility,” but did not follow through due to concerns about the state of the economy. Now, they are still looking for a space that will cater their needs.
“We are passionate about bringing our delicious products to you and controlling the quality of everything we create,” the owners said in the post.
The award-winning company offers a weekly menu of croissants, coffee cake, cheese tarts, cookies, and man different chocolates. These include dark, citrus, figs & red wine, hazelnut crunch and cookies & cream. There is no mention of the menu being amended once a new location opens, which can be viewed on their website.
What Now Portland has reached out to the owners, and this article may be updated.
