According to a recent permit filing, Kings & Daughters Brewery has filed to open a brewery and public house at 825 N Cook Street.
Behind Kings & Daughters is Kyle Larsen. “The story of Kings & Daughters Brewery started to take root over twenty years ago when Kyle began a love affair with the craft of brewing beer. At 21, Kyle’s path to one day open his own brewery was illuminated.”
“Kyle spent his early twenties learning everything he could about home brewing and the brewing industry before accepting a job at Full Sail Brewing Co. in Hood River, Oregon. From there he moved to Double Mountain Brewery where he worked his way up to the head brewer position,” the company website states.
“During his time at Double Mountain Kyle completed a Masters in Brewing Science and Engineering from Heriot Watt University, Kyle and Kacie got married and welcomed two daughters to their growing family. After graduating, Kyle was ready for growth in his career that would push him from his comfort zone, confront him with new challenges, and introduce him to a wider community of craft brewers.”
“During their three years abroad, Kyle grew professionally with his brewing techniques after participating in lots of creative collaborations. The family grew as well when they welcomed their son, and then it was time to head home and open the brewery they’d had been dreaming of. They left England, spent five months traveling, and returned home to start Kings & Daughters Brewery.”
“Since 2021 Kings & Daughters has amassed a loyal and lovely following of craft beer consumers. Their signature Soft IPA, Queens & Sons, won a bronze medal at the prestigious World Beer Cup in 2023, and they are working towards opening a taproom and production facility in their hometown of Hood River, Oregon.”
