Lola’s Cafe Bar is approaching its long awaited opening in the Portland International Airport (PDX), filing a liquor license application with the City of Portland. Lola’s was among the 20 local businesses set to open in the renovated airport, announced back in 2023.

While most of the airport’s new terminal was revealed in 2024, 30% of it has yet to see the light of day. You can look at Lola’s filing as a harbinger of the gradual opening of the rest of the terminal, which will take place from April to June of 2026.

Lola’s was founded in 2020 in downtown Lake Oswego by Joe Buck, the mayor of Lake Oswego. The health-forward cafe serves a wide selection of Nossa Familia coffee drinks and specialty tea lattes and food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lola’s also offers a small cocktail menu that still sounds pretty health despite being, well, alcohol, demonstrated in items like the blueberry superfood mojito and the carrot ginger margarita.

Operating from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., the upcoming cafe is just one of the businesses opening in the terminal, which will also house Kure Superfood and Pilot House Distilling.
