The owners of Loyal Legion are crossing into Washington for their newest restaurant and bar.
Loyal Legion known for their beers and tap and cocktails is coming to a new location at 1109 Washington Street. The new restaurant will be at the former Heathen Brewing Feral Public House, and owner Kurt Huffman told What Now Portland the estimated opening date is sometime in April 2026.
The company has previously expanded, with locations in Beaverton which opened in 2021 and Portland International Airport opened last year. The first Loyal Legion opened as a beer hall in 2015 at 710 SE 6th Avenue. One of the owners’ main goals is to support local breweries and makers.
“We cannot wait to be a part of everything that is happening in Vancouver, and our beer buying team is really looking forward to working with Washington’s unbelievable craft breweries,” said an official quote from Loyal Legion management.
For food, the Portland location serves shareables like chili cheese fries and a Bavarian pretzel, salads, bowls, burgers, sandwiches and bratwurst. The new locations’ menu has not been released.
The bar will still serve beers on tap from local Portland breweries, but there are also plans to serve local Seattle breweries as well. Breweries on tap at the Portland location include pFriem, Double Mountain Brewery, Boneyard and Pelican Brewing Company.
Loyal Legion’s Vancouver spot will be at the corner of Washington Street and W 12th Street, close to the Magenta Theater. For more information on the upcoming location, visit their website.
