Megpie’s Bakery and Cafe is opening in Cloverdale, according to a liquor license application. The upcoming bakery is opening on 34455 Brooten Rd. in a large freestanding space that formerly housed The Oar House Bar and Grill, which closed in 2025. Megpie’s doesn’t have an opening date as of yet.
Megpie’s is owned by Casey Jo Hein, who opened the first Megpie’s in Pacific City. In addition to its sweet pastries that’ll make you want to smoosh your face onto the glass display case, the bakery serves breakfast and lunch, and makes custom cakes to order. Hein also opened an extension to the bakery called Meg’s Beachwood Bar and Grill in 2020, serving pizza and burgers with a full-service bar. The restaurant hosts various events, like weekly karaoke nights.
