Another option for whisky may soon be opening in the Kerns neighborhood.

The Treasury LLC recently applied for space at 2117 NE Oregon Street, Unit 701 in Kerns. According to owner Adam Friedman, this will be a tasting room. The timeline of opening is pending due to work having to be done with the city.

There may be the addition of food, but that has not been decided. Right now in the license, there is not food service listed. Also in the license, there will be both indoor and outdoor operating hours, open weekdays 4 p.m.-10 p.m. and on weekends noon-9 p.m.

“Made with whole grains, pure Oregon water and a reverence for time,” says the description on their Facebook page.

The distillery is set to go in the Bindery Annex building, where Girld & Roses Tattoo Studio is housed. Kachka Fabrika: Distillery & Zukaski Bar is also next to the space, and the other closest distillery is Can Bar w/ Agrodolce Distilling Co. on E Burnside Street.

Friedman said once the proper paperwork is filed, he is looking forward to opening up and serving the community. He and his team will be providing updates on social media or through an email list on their website thetreasurydistillery.com.
