An Oregon-based coffee company is bringing new spots for brews and pastries to the coast.
Pioneer Joe Coffee recently posted to social media that there will be a new coastal location opening in the near future. There will be a brick and mortar spot at 939 U.S. 101 in Depoe Bay and a shop at 3521 Highway 101 in Lincoln City. According to co-owner Jerome Black, the locations will be opening soon, possibly two weeks out.
Pioneer Joe started as a scout store for coffee in Lincoln City, eventually opening two new shops on the coast. In an article from That Oregon Life, it was named the largest roaster on the Oregon coast. The coffee is brewed in Lincoln City, and according to Black the company has been seeking two new locations since the beginning of 2024.
The company sells signature roasts including a house blend, caramel flavor, chocolate mixes and cold brews. Specialty coffees have been on the menu since the start, but the company also offers pastries, ice cream, breakfast and bagels.
The new Depoe Bay location will be on the coast just north of the downtown area. The Lincoln City spot is set to be on the south side of Lincoln City. The two coffee shops will be less than 10 miles apart, adding to the company’s presence on the coast.
