According to a recent permit filing, Reggie’s Manga Cafe aims to debut in Arbor Lodge at 7015 N Greeley Avenue.
“Coming Spring 2025 to North Portland. We’re excited to bring you stationary clubs, cosplay workshops, summer camps for all ages, anime showings, manga food pop-ups and so much more,” an Instagram post from Reggie’s team states.
Reggie’s most recent Instagram post shows the front area and cafe space construction. Part two will be for the kitchen and outside, while part three will be for the community and event space.
According to a job application from Reggie’s, “Hello! We’re Devon and Kryston and we’re the owners of Reggie’s Manga Shop. We both grew up in cities where there wasn’t much to do as a kid. We found ways to keep ourselves busy, but truly lacked a space to hang out and engage with our hobbies and interests.”
“Living in Portland, we’ve noticed a similar situation, which is why we wanted to create a space to fill that need. That’s how we came about making Reggie’s Manga Shop. We’re passionate about creating a welcoming space for manga readers of all ages, but especially young readers.”
“Our mission is to create a space that we felt was lacking when we were growing up, and our goal is to foster a community hub where individuals can enjoy manga, meet friends, and attend fun events.”
