According to a recent permit filing, a new concept called Sabor Del Rio Cafe aims to debut in the Harbor 1 Marina, located at 3307 NE Marine Drive Galley.
Behind Sabor Del Rio Cafe are Monica and Louis Morales. “An authentic Puerto Rican café is situated on the scenic banks of the Columbia River. It offers an exquisite menu featuring American and Puerto Rican cuisine and authentic Caribbean coffee. The café provides a serene and intimate dining experience,” the concept states on Google.
The permit filing states that the planned days of operation will be every day from 10 AM to 10 PM and that Sabor Del Rio will be closed during the winter. The planned days of operation are also stated to apply for outdoor operating hours, with food and alcohol service options listed.
For Sabor’s location, according to Harbor 1 Marina’s website, “The newly renovated Harbor 1 Marina is located on Marine Dr. between I-5 and I-205. Enjoy the ease of access from anywhere in town and a combination of exclusive amenities. Harbor 1 Marina provides an unmatched collection of features and amenities unavailable elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.”
Discover Puerto Rico describes the Puerto Rican coffee and cafe experience: “Coffee consumption on the Island has been transformed profoundly over the years. Before, these farmers started their mornings with a strong coffee cup to retain their energy while working the lands and ended the day with another cup when they returned home.”
“Today, it is a way of connecting with people and reconnecting with our roots. You can still find a working coffee hacienda that produces specialty gourmet coffee, and you’ll feel like traveling back in time.”
