According to a recent article from Bridgetown Bites, Spella Caffè is opening a location in Woodblock Chocolate at 1715 NE 17th Avenue.
“The grand opening of Spella Caffè at Woodblock Chocolate is going to be Saturday, November 2. There, they’ll bring coffee, pastries, and gelato to Woodblock’s chocolate in a “cozy and inviting” cafe space.”
“As far as timing goes on November 2, hours will be 8 am to 4 pm. The party will be from 10 am to noon, with the ribbon cutting at 11 am. Regular hours of operation will be Wednesdays to Fridays from 7:30 am to 4 pm. On the weekends you can stop in on Saturdays from 8 am to 4 pm, and on Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm, at least to start.”
According to Spella’s website, “We work closely with family-owned coffee farms and cooperatives in India, Latin America, and Africa to ensure the highest quality of beans find their way to our roastery. Strong relationships with coffee growers are the foundation of Spella Caffè.”
“Rossalina — our little red roaster — roasts just eleven pounds of coffee at a time. This method of roasting brings out the unique, inherent qualities of each variety, allowing us to find the sweet spot of each batch.”
