SteepleJack Brewing is opening a new restaurant on Oregon’s coast, according to a recent permit application. The upcoming restaurant SteepleJack Burgers & Beer is slated for a March 2026 opening in Manzanita, first reported by the New School.
The new restaurant from SteepleJack Brewing co-owners Dustin Harder and Brody Day will open into a 1,584 square-foot space on 519 Laneda Ave., the former home to Neah-Kah-Nie Bistro which closed in 2025. They’ll serve from-scratch food — as the name suggests, mostly burgers — and other casual fare along with their award-winning craft beers.
This upcoming location is the pair’s second attempt at a Manzanita location. They initially had their eye on a larger space just down the road, planning to build a restaurant with vacation rental units. However, a city requirement to build two parking spaces “torpedoed the project,” Day told The Oregonian.
The Manzanita location is the latest in Harder and Day’s growing empire, with three SteepleJack locations in Portland and one in Hillsboro. Additionally, Harder and Day own Harder Day Coffee, which operates seven cafes scattered across Portland.
