Vista Spring Cafe is expanding in Portland Heights, taking over an adjacent space on 2430 SW Vista Ave. that formerly held The Heights Antiques & Consignment. First reported by Bridgetown Bites, the new space will serve as a bar and lounge under a new name: The Heights.
Vista Spring Cafe is a pizza restaurant founded in 1993. It was purchased by former Vista Springs servers John Walker and Jason Bonfiglio in 2005. The restaurant is everything you’d want in a neighborhood eatery, one of the few around the area; large wooden booths, warm lights and homemade Italian food. You’ll find classics like chicken parm and sicilian pizza, and more creative menu items, like Thai peanut chicken pizza.
Based on a sneak peak of the new space posted on the restaurant’s Instagram, The Heights will feature a slightly different vibe, with darker woods, a mosaic floor and a small chandelier, more date night than neighborhood pizza place.
According to a comment from Vista Spring’s Instagram, The Heights will soft launch next month.
