Arc’teryx is opening a new store at 1001 Arney Rd NE in the Woodburn Premium Outlets, joining the mall’s roughly 110 stores along Interstate 5 between Portland and Salem. Job listings for the location describe it as a pop-up outlet, with the company already hiring seasonal retail staff ahead of the opening.

The Canadian brand, founded in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia in 1989, has built a reputation for high-performance outerwear and technical gear aimed at climbers, skiers and outdoor athletes. Arc’teryx already operates two stores in the Portland area, one on NW 23rd Avenue and another at Washington Square in Tigard, making Woodburn its first dedicated outlet location in Oregon. The brand’s outlet stores typically sell past-season products at a discount, along with offering its ReBIRD repair service for gear care and maintenance.

Woodburn Premium Outlets, owned and operated by Simon Property Group, sits just off Interstate 5 and markets itself as one of the top tax-free shopping destinations in the Pacific Northwest, drawing shoppers from across Oregon and Washington. The center’s roster leans heavily on athletic and outdoor brands, including Nike, Adidas, Columbia and The North Face, making Arc’teryx a natural fit for the mall’s existing tenant mix.

According to The Oregionan, Arc’teryx is one of two new stores heading to the outlet mall, alongside another retailer aimed at a younger, alternative fashion crowd.
