SONIC Opens First Location in Citrus Heights
SONIC opens its first drive-in in Citrus Heights today, September 15, at 5873 Antelope Road. The new Citrus Heights SONIC, headed by a local franchise group, Elite Drive-Ins, welcomes patrons to order from SONIC’s broad menu via the drive-thru service or at one of the seven drive-in lanes.
The site showcases SONIC’s refreshed architectural design and updated brand identity, giving guests a first look at the company’s new look. The new opening is also expected to generate over 45 jobs in the community.
This marks the fourth SONIC operated by Elite Drive-Ins in Northern California. The franchise group was founded by local operator CJ Dhaliwal.
“As residents with deep ties to this brand, we’re so excited to bring SONIC’s craveable and iconic menu to our Citrus Heights neighbors,” Dhaliwal said. “We’re very passionate about offering our guests not only great food, but also a great customer experience. We can’t wait to see everyone on opening day and look forward to serving the Citrus Heights community for years to come!”
Services at the New Drive-Thru SONIC Location
With hundreds of drink combinations, including limeades and slushes, along with burgers, hot dogs, and more, SONIC offers customizable meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks.
In addition to drive-thru and drive-in service, customers in Citrus Heights can place orders online or via the SONIC App to have their food delivered with contactless delivery and payment, including Apple Pay, and receive special offers each month via the SONIC Rewards.
SONIC also supports local schools by donating a portion of proceeds from every drink, slush, and shake to the SONIC Foundation, which funds public education programs nationwide. The brand has donated over 27 million dollars to schools across the country since 2009 through its Limeades for Learning program.
With the Citrus Heights opening, SONIC expands its Sacramento-area presence and introduces a modern drive-in experience for local residents.
