According to permits filed with the City of Sacramento, a new ghost kitchen is in the works at 4700 Mack Road, Ste 2. The small strip mall area currently holds a Papa Murphy’s Pizza, a nail salon, and a dry cleaner shop.
An existing catering business, 3Mien Food ToGo & Catering, is listed on Yelp under the same address. However, the ghost kitchen appears to be a different concept. The space was also previously a Panda Express restaurant.
Application materials indicate the new business is owned and operated by Daniel Rodriguez, and the property owner is Huy Trieu. What Now Sacramento reached out to both parties. Neither was willing to comment or share any details of the upcoming business. The application describes the scope of work as turning the existing shell space into a new to-go restaurant, with the addition of a new stock pot burner, a gas range, and a kitchen exhaust fan.
It is unclear if the upcoming business is in any way associated with 3Mien. Adjacent businesses near the site address include a furniture warehouse, El Pollo Loco Mexican Restaurant, a preschool daycare center, and an oil change shop.
