Fogo de Chão, a popular Brazilian steakhouse chain, has proposed a new site in Roseville at 1104 Galleria Blvd. The space is currently occupied by Mimi’s Cafe. Plans have been filed for a major project permit modification to renovate the existing Mimi’s building for the new restaurants. The location is planned to open by 2025.

Renovation plans include expanding the interior by 986 square feet and the exterior patio by 700 square feet, and adapting new colors and materials to maintain consistency with the rest of the center. The potential Roseville restaurant is marked as “coming soon” on the website and will be the chain’s first Sacramento location.

Barry McGowan, CEO of the restaurant chain, said the Roseville location at 1104 Galleria Blvd. is planned to open by 2025. The Roseville location is part of the company’s major expansion plan of building 20 locations in the next 24 months.

“As we look ahead to the next 24 months, Fogo de Chão is positioned for yet another transformative chapter of growth as we continue to scale our authentic experiential dining concept globally,” said Barry McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de Chão. “We are a category-leading, international brand and are actively securing leases and forging development agreements in regions where we already have a presence, while simultaneously breaking ground in new capital cities around the world.”

Restaurants opening in 2024 and 2025 will feature next-level design elements such as enclosed patios, rooftops, and lounges for unique and elevated dining occasions. First established in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, Fogo de Chão has over 60 locations in the United States.
