A popular Mexican restaurant with locations in Stockton and Lodi is entering the Sacramento market. Plans have been filed to develop a new Casa Flores Mexican Restaurant at 8304 Delta Shores Cir S. The new Casa Flores will combine the two spaces at Ste 130 and 140 to build a full-service restaurant. This news was first reported by the Sacramento Business Journal.
Casa Flores Mexican Restaurant is a family-owned chain established by Marco Chavez. Chavez opened the first Casa Flores in 1992 in Stockton. The restaurant then expanded into other areas. Today, there are three Casa Flores restaurants in Stockton and another one in Lodi, all operated by Chavez’s family members.
“I was looking for a location in the Elk Grove / Sacramento area when I came across Delta Shores. I really liked the location being right off the freeway and that it is in a suburban area,” Chavez told What Now Sacramento in an email, adding he’d be directly overseeing the operations of the Delta Shores location.
The existing suites have been demolished, and the restaurant now awaits permits for interior improvement for the new restaurant, including updated HVAC systems, new equipment, electrical and plumbing to support a new kitchen and bar, and accessible multi-stall restrooms. Rancho Cordova-based True Line Builders Inc is leading the construction.
Casa Flores has an expansive menu of appetizers, soups and salads, all-day breakfast, a la carte burritos, enchilada, tacos, tamales, and combo options. The restaurant also serves specialty dishes, fajita plates, and seafood entrees. The new location will also have a full bar serving the brand’s signature margaritas.
According to the Business Journal, Chavez hopes to complete construction by October and open soon after. As of now, Chavez doesn’t have any plans to any other locations this year.
