A local bakery chain known for its wildly creative donuts and Filipino-inspired breads is making its way to West Sacramento.
BAD Bakers is planning to open its seventh site in the state at 2050 Town Center Plaza, Suite B170, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. The bakery will be nestled within the Southport Town Center alongside Starbucks, Crumbl Cookies, and Cold Stone Creamery.
Founded by husband-and-wife duo Vincent and Katelyn Tiuseco in 2013, BAD Bakers—short for “Bread And Donuts”—has cultivated a cult following. The playful, over-the-top menu features everything from kronuts and colorful cake donuts to savory items like empanadas, lumpia, and hot dogs wrapped in housemade dough.
BAD Bakers also serves up an array of freshly baked breads each day, including pillowy ensaymada (a traditional Filipino sweet bread) and its ever-popular Staxx, a fluffy, buttery-style Filipino roll affectionately known as señorita bread.
An official opening date has not yet been announced. When it debuts, the new bakery will join existing locations in Natomas, Roseville, Elk Grove, downtown Sacramento, Folsom, and Santa Ana, with another shop currently in the works for Woodland.
