Barnes & Noble and its signature B&N Café are officially on the way to Elk Grove.

Company representative Janine Flanigan told What Now Sacramento that the bookstore will occupy roughly 20,000 square feet within The Village, an upcoming retail center bordered by Big Horn Blvd, Elk Grove Blvd, and Wymark Drive at 8120 Elk Grove Blvd.

Barnes & Noble remains the country’s largest bookseller, with around 600 brick-and-mortar stores plus its online shop. Beyond books, the retailer stocks everything from board games to literary gifts and also operates NOOK, its e-book and audiobook platform.

Flanigan said that the Elk Grove location is slated to debut in June 2026. Guests can expect a full B&N Café, which features a variety of Starbucks beverages, including hot and iced coffees and Frappuccinos, along with exclusive café bites like sandwiches, soups, and fresh-baked goods.

Pappas Investments is overseeing the project. An online brochure outlining The Village’s site plan shows Barnes & Noble joining a growing tenant roster that includes Whole Foods, Chick-fil-A, Fluffy Fluffy Dessert Café, Shake Shack, and Philz Coffee.
