Last year, What Now Sacramento shared that a full-service bar, restaurant, and indoor golf venue was coming to West Sacramento. Now, more details about the concept have come to light, and Birdies Social Club is officially set to open this summer.
According to a report from ABC10, the new venue will find its home on the ground floor of the mixed-use development known as 805 Riverfront, which features 286 apartment units and roughly 10,000 square feet of retail space.
At the helm of the project are Nicholas and Katie Wootten of West Sac Entertainment LLC. The duo describes Birdies as a “high-energy” destination with a “garden-party vibe,” offering five full-size indoor golf simulators and big screens to watch games. The space is designed to accommodate both casual hangouts and larger events.
The timing for the project aligns with an exciting shift in the neighborhood: the Oakland Athletics are temporarily relocating to play at nearby Sutter Health Park, a move that’s already drawn a surge of foot traffic and sparked growth in the area.
Situated behind the right field foul pole, Birdies will span 6,650 square feet and is expected to hold up to 300 guests for events and 170 diners at the restaurant, reports The Sacramento Bee.
“We’re serving California comfort food, cocktails, and nonstop good energy seven days a week—with DJs, private events, and high-volume service from brunch through late night,” reads a recent hiring post from Birdies, which is currently staffing up.
