A high-energy Elk Grove seafood spot known for buttery crab boils and big-screen sports is headed to Folsom.
Chason’s Crab Stadium will open its second location at Broadstone Marketplace, taking over the current Taiko Sushi space at 2700 E Bidwell St, Suite 100, owner Peter Phong confirmed. An ambassador for Taiko Sushi told the Sacramento Business Journal that the restaurant remains open for now, as both teams coordinate a smooth transition ahead of construction and build-out.
Founded in 2014, Chason’s has become known for its mashup of Cajun seafood boils, Vietnamese and Asian-inspired flavors, and classic American comfort fare, all served in a lively sports-bar setting. According to its website, the concept strives to go beyond the typical seafood joint, pairing messy, flavor-packed dishes with game-day energy and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The menu is anchored by the restaurant’s signature garlic butter crab, along with seafood sold by the pound, including shrimp, lobster tail, and mussels. Beyond the staples, diners will find dishes such as garlic noodles with prawns, po’ boys, fish tacos, and grilled chicken sandwiches, plus sides like cornbread, sausage, and steamed rice.
Phong told What Now Sacramento that the Folsom location will mirror the Elk Grove menu, bringing the same “great delicious food” and upbeat vibe to a new crowd. The space will likely see minor modifications before opening, with a target debut in April 2026.
