A fast-growing Chinese noodle franchise is expanding to Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood.
Ji Bei Chuan is planning its first site in the city at 960 Florin Rd, reports The Sacramento Bee. The new eatery will take over the former site of Oregon-based Shari’s Cafe and Pies in the Lake Crest Village shopping center.
Founded in Suzhou, China in 2018, Ji Bei Chuan has quickly expanded to more than 400 locations worldwide, including over 70 in the United States. The Sacramento eatery is being brought to life by a local restaurateur who, according to business records, already operates Ji Bei Chuan locations in San Leandro and Chico, along with several other Asian eateries throughout California.
The menu will highlight the chain’s signature Chinese comfort dishes, ranging from rice noodles, ramen, and claypot rice to Korean fried chicken, fried rice, and a wide range of soups. Guests can also expect handcrafted boba and refreshing fruit teas.
While the franchisee briefly confirmed the expansion with What Now Sacramento, he did not share additional details. However, in a statement to The Bee, the company said it is “passionate about sharing the authentic taste of China” with Sacramento.
An opening date has not yet been announced, and Ji Bei Chuan’s Sacramento location does not currently have a social media presence.
