Midtown Sacramento will soon get a fresh jolt of energy.
Concept Coffee, a new concept from business partners Oksen Nersisyan, Ty Manukyan, and Scott Ostrander, is set to open this summer in the former site of Sun & Soil at 1912 P St. According to the Sacramento Business Journal, the 1,400-square-foot space is currently undergoing cosmetic updates, including new furniture and fixtures, in preparation for its debut.
Each partner brings a unique background to the table. Manukyan, co-founder of Kingdom Coffee Roasters, is a seasoned coffee expert who’s been roasting for more than a decade. Ostrander, the chef behind East Sacramento’s Origami Asian Grill and the upcoming Gami Burger in Carmichael, will lead the café’s culinary operations. And Nersisyan, a longtime friend of Manukyan, joined the project as an investor.
Though Ostrander told What Now Sacramento he’s not quite ready to spill the details, the Business Journal reports that the team is crafting a menu centered around high-quality coffee and classic café fare. Expect housemade baked goods, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and paninis, plus coffee in partnership with Kingdom Coffee Roasters.
The Concept Coffee team hopes to welcome guests in late July or early August 2025.
