A Dublin-based fusion concept is bringing a mix of Indian spices and Italian traditions to Folsom.
Desi Pizza Bites will soon open its first Sacramento Valley location in the former site of Pronto’s New York Pizzeria at 299 Iron Point Rd, Suite 100. The mini-chain already operates several sites across California, including outposts in Dublin, Modesto, Tulare, Stockton, and South Richmond Hill.
Proudly branding itself as “the perfect fusion of Italian craft and Indian spices,” Desi Pizza Bites’ menu features familiar Italian-forward favorites like the veggie and BBQ chicken pizzas, as well as Indian-inspired pies loaded with toppings such as butter chicken and shahi paneer.
Beyond pizza, guests can enjoy sandwiches, wraps, kebabs, salads, and shareable appetizers like wings, mozzarella sticks, and masala fries. The new location will also serve beer and wine.
Franchisee Gurpartap Gill told What Now Sacramento that the site’s proximity to the Folsom Premium Outlets and the lack of nearby pizza options made it an ideal choice for expansion.
“Folsom is a diverse community,” he said. “Right around that plaza, you’ll see a lot of mom-and-pop shops. Then, we have a movie theater, and the outlets are right there. So, it’s a mix of commercial and residential. But it was missing a good pizza spot.”
The space is undergoing a full renovation, and Folsom diners can expect Desi Pizza Bites to open in late October or early November 2025, depending on construction timelines. Gill also has plans for a future Roseville location, though that project is still in its early stages.
