A new spot for high-quality meats and provisions is on the way to El Dorado Hills.
Kings Meats is preparing to open a 4,000-square-foot second location at El Dorado Hills Town Center, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. The expansion marks a significant milestone for the locally loved butcher shop, which first established itself in nearby Diamond Springs.
At its original outpost, Kings Meats has built a loyal following with its premium selection of dry-aged meats, hand-cut steaks, pork chops, and house-made sausages, alongside ready-to-grill staples like burgers and hot dogs.
Beyond the butcher counter, the shop leans into a specialty market feel, offering curated breads, cheeses, oils, rubs, spices, and sauces. Customers have also noted a rotating selection of local goods, including pies, produce, seafood, and prepared meals.
The business is owned and operated by Casey King, a longtime El Dorado County butcher who has been working in the trade since 1993. He launched Kings Meats in early 2020, following his time running The Butcher’s Kitchen food truck, which appears to have ceased operations.
An exact address or opening timeline for the El Dorado Hills location has not yet been announced. What Now Sacramento has reached out to King for additional details and will share updates as they become available.
For now, hungry locals can visit the Diamond Springs location, open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays until 5 p.m.
