A year after opening, an East Sacramento wine bar is preparing for a move.

Joneck’s Wine Lounge & Bottle Shop will relocate from its current H St digs to 2231 J St, Suite 101 in Midtown Sacramento, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. The new 1,200-square-foot space is expected to open by the end of summer 2025, reports the publication.

Founded in April 2024 by husband-and-wife duo Todd and Renee Joneck, the lounge offers wine by the glass, build-your-own flights, and bottles to go. The menu also features a variety of draft beers, imported beers by the bottle and can, and an assortment of pub-inspired bites, Thai-style appetizers, and charcuterie plates.

While business at the East Sacramento site has been steady, the Jonecks believe the move to Midtown—with its central location and heavier foot traffic—will help the bar thrive. The new lounge will feature an expanded selection of wines, a broader food menu, and longer hours, while retaining the eclectic decor that defined the original space.

Joneck’s East Sacramento location will close for several weeks in preparation for the Midtown debut.

“We can’t wait for the next chapter and hope you all join us,” wrote the Jonecks in a social media update.
