In late 2023, What Now Sacramento reported that Tempe, Arizona-based Electric Pickle was eyeing its first Greater Sacramento site in Roseville. Now, the ambitious multi-million-dollar project is coming into clearer focus.
According to Gold Country Media, the first-of-its-kind restaurant and outdoor pickleball complex will find its home at 340 Conference Center Dr, within the forthcoming Roseville Junction development. Originally targeting a summer 2024 debut, the project is now expected to break ground in spring 2026.
Positioned as one of Roseville Junction’s main draws, Electric Pickle comes from partners Paul Frederick, Guillermo Mascarenas, and Eduardo Gomez of Eureka! Restaurant Group.
Plans call for a 12,700-square-foot, two-story restaurant dishing out tacos, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, sushi, and more. Outside, the expansive grounds will feature a 1,500-square-foot cabana building with its own bar, multiple shaded lounges, nine pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, and a roster of other recreational amenities.
“Construction of this project will create temporary construction jobs and permanent full and/or part-time jobs, generate sales tax revenue to the city, and provide a venue for hosting national and regional tournaments,” Roseville Economic Development Analyst Gina McColl and Director Melissa Anguiano announced in a city report last year.
Keep an eye out for updates as Electric Pickle moves closer to breaking ground in Roseville.
