A beloved trio of French bakeries is expanding to Folsom.
Estelle Bakery & Pâtisserie, founded by Esther Son in 2011, is opening its fourth location at 400 Iron Point Rd, in the space most recently home to Mariachi Mexican Bar & Grill. Son told What Now Sacramento that she had dreamed of expanding to Folsom for years, and the perfect opportunity finally arose.
Estelle has earned a reputation across Sacramento for its European-style breads, pastries, and desserts, with current locations in Arden-Arcade, downtown Sacramento, and Davis.
Though still in the early stages of development, the upcoming Folsom café will mirror its sister locations’ offerings, boasting a sprawling selection of croissants, danishes, scones, muffins, macarons, tarts, and cakes. Breakfast and lunch options will include Strawberry French Toast, Smoked Salmon & Avocado Tartine, French Continental Breakfast, French Dip Sandwiches, and Tomato Bisque Soup.
Son also hopes to bring the same tea service offered at Estelle’s other locations, featuring mini pastries, savory bites, and desserts paired with hot tea or coffee and sparkling wine—though this detail is not yet set in stone.
The space itself will undergo a full renovation, nearly matching the Arden location in size and including a generous outdoor area and ample parking—a feature not offered at Estelle’s other cafés. “For Folsom, we really, really wanted outdoor space so that people who are biking, going for a walk, or walking their dogs or animals, they could still have a space to relax.”
