A new pizzeria from a familiar family is headed to Sacramento.

John and Chiara Adamo, the father-and-daughter duo behind Adamo’s Kitchen in Midtown, are preparing to open Dodici Pizzeria at 400 12th St in the city’s Alkali Flats neighborhood. The news was recently announced via social media, instantly sparking excitement among fans of the family’s soulful Italian cooking.

“Get ready to indulge in Dodici, the freshest Pizzeria in town, brought to you by the team behind @adamoskitchen,” the team shared on Instagram. “Experience traditional Italian flavors with recipes passed on from a true pizzaolo; Italy in every bite 🇮🇹.”

The name Dodici—Italian for twelve—is a nod to the restaurant’s prime location at the corner of 12th and D Streets. According to the restaurant’s website, the goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where families and friends can gather over great pizza and good conversation.

The menu will feature classic Italian pizzas made with care and expertise. The dough is crafted from a blend of Type 0 and unrefined Type 1 flours, then left to mature for 48 hours before being hand-stretched and baked at high temperatures for a light, airy crust with just the right chew.

Dodici Pizzeria is expected to debut in February 2026. For opening updates, menu previews, and behind-the-scenes peeks, follow the eatery on Facebook and Instagram.
