A spicy new chicken joint is coming to Downtown Sacramento‘s dining scene.
Fire & Crisp, a Nashville-style hot chicken concept, is taking over the former Nash & Proper space at 1023 K St, reports the Sacramento Business Journal. While Nash & Proper appears to have quietly closed its doors last year, the eatery still operates ghost kitchens through Local Kitchens, according to its website.
The new restaurant is the brainchild of Cesar Jimenez, who also owns Davis Cell Phone Repair. He told The Business Journal that Fire & Crisp will offer a fast-casual experience reminiscent of Dave’s Hot Chicken, allowing patrons to customize their spice levels. The menu will highlight crispy tenders, sliders, and sides with housemade sauces, plus milkshakes, beer, and wine.
Jimenez signed the lease just last week and plans to make light improvements to the space before a projected opening between mid-July and early August 2025. For the latest updates, follow the eatery on Instagram @fireandcrisp.
