Chick-fil-A has delayed the remodel of its Folsom location at the Broadstone Plaza shopping mall.

The restaurant at 2679 E Bidwell St was originally set to close for renovations on September 25, 2025, but the popular franchise recently announced that the closure has been pushed back to October 10.

Matt Crane of Crane Food Services LLC, who has operated the location since it opened in 2012, confirmed the update with What Now Sacramento. “Our last day to serve customers is October 9th,” he wrote in an email. “We are updating the interior, modernizing the kitchen and expanding our drive-thru capacity. We look forward to serving guests when we reopen.”

The renovation will include a brand-new 2-lane drive-thru, a streamlined kitchen, and a refreshed dining room. During this period, 85 employees will be temporarily laid off, though the restaurant confirmed that all impacted team members will receive final pay and any applicable benefits before the closure begins.

With more than 3,000 locations nationwide, Chick-fil-A is known for its chicken-centric menu, including chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and waffle fries. The remodel is expected to take about 90 days, with a tentative reopening scheduled for January 2026.

“Come see us, enjoy your favorites, and let us take care of the cooking while we count down to this exciting new chapter,” the Folsom team shared on social media.
