A local trio of ramen restaurants will soon be joined by a fourth outpost.

Fukumi Ramen is expanding to a roughly 1,400-square-foot space at 4630 Natomas Blvd, Suite 130, in Natomas‘ Park Place shopping center, the eatery announced on its website. The upcoming restaurant is the latest project from Fukumi Restaurant Group, which already operates locations in Roseville, Citrus Heights, and Folsom.

Founded in 2019, the group is owned by husband-and-wife duo Han and Sylbi Song, who also run several other Sacramento-area restaurants, including Fukumi Chaya, Its Sushi, and Pier 50 Sushi.

Fukumi Ramen specializes in Hakata-style (tonkotsu) ramen, known for its creamy pork bone broth and perfectly al dente noodles. “Our signature tonkotsu broth is made by simmering pork bones for 72 hours to develop its deep, rich umami flavors,” manager Ryann Struk told What Now Sacramento.

The menu also features other varieties like tori-paitan (a chicken-based broth) and maze ramen (a brothless style served with sauces, oils, and toppings).

Beyond ramen, Fukumi serves a wide range of Japanese comfort foods, including rice bowls and small plates. Among its most popular dishes are the Chicken Mayo Bowl, Chicken Karaage, and Chashu Buns.

The team hopes to open Fukumi Ramen Natomas in the fall of 2025. Meanwhile, a second Its Sushi location is also in the works, with an opening slated for late fall or early winter.

“We’re very excited about our new Natomas location!” said Struk. For grand opening updates, be sure to follow Fukumi Ramen on Instagram.
