After the past six months’ silence, Geisthaus Brewing Co recently posted on their social media with an update that they are closing escrow on their property location at 9584 Micron Ave in the next few weeks. Construction is anticipated to begin in January next year, and the business is aiming for a late-summer opening.

Spearheaded by Brady Jones, Benjamin Allgood, and Brian Mackie, Geisthaus Brewing Co. focuses solely on producing various lagers, including pale lagers, amber and dark lagers, modern hoppy American lagers, and some specialty and seasonal lagers.

“Our philosophy on beer is simple: utilize the tried and true methods identified in brewing history, and integrate them with modern technology and equipment; use the finest fresh ingredients available from local craft suppliers whenever possible; and create an excellent beer that will taste familiar or be an entirely new experience for any patron that walks through our doors,” the business shared its mission on online.

Geisthaus received building plan approval back in April, but a miscommunication with Sacramento County and a change in contractors have significantly delayed the development. While the taproom will not offer a food menu at this point, there will be a reserved area for food trucks to come in as vendors. By the time of this coverage, the owners had not replied to What Now Sacramento’s request for comments.
