Just a couple of weeks after news broke that restaurateur Mymy Nguyen plans to reopen Make Fish Market in Midtown Sacramento, she’s revealed her next big move: a third Sit Lo Saigon location.
The Vietnamese eatery will take over the former site of Bruchi’s CheeseSteaks & Subs at 565 Howe Ave in Arden-Arcade. Nguyen told What Now Sacramento that this expansion has been in the works for some time.
“Sit Lo is expanding… and it’s been an area we’ve been waiting for for some time,” she said. “[This] expansion is part of us really narrowing down our portfolio to something more scalable and sustainable for the foreseeable future. We’re super excited for this project, amongst a few other ones we have in the works.”
Founded in 2021, Sit Lo Saigon currently operates two locations in Elk Grove and Davis. The eatery specializes in authentic Vietnamese pho, where the signature beef bone broth is simmered for 72 hours to draw out rich, savory flavors.
According to the restaurant’s website, every ingredient is prepared with care: meats are cut to precise sizes for optimal flavor and texture, rice noodles are soft and tender, and each bone is parboiled, scrubbed, and rinsed to achieve a crystal-clear broth, “just like our mother’s would make at home.”
Beyond pho, Sit Lo Saigon offers an array of Vietnamese appetizers and sides. Diners can enjoy beef short ribs, oxtail, and fried doughnuts, as well as housemade beverages such as Vietnamese iced coffee and Thai tea.
Nguyen said the new location will mirror the menus and experience of the Elk Grove and Davis restaurants. Sit Lo Saigon Arden-Arcade is slated to open in the summer of 2026. For the latest updates, follow the eatery on social media @sitlosaigon.
