Mimosa House originally shared the news about a future Granite Bay location in 2022, as reported by The Business Journal. Last week, a pending liquor license application can be found with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for the proposed location at 6811 Douglas Blvd, Suite 19 in The Marketplace at Granite Bay. Dedier Company Restaurant Group, the company behind the Mimosa House concept, is aiming to open in January or February of 2025.
Mimosa House currently has 8 locations in East Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, El Dorado Hills, Roseville, Goldriver, Folsom and Folsom Riley, and Culvee Club El Dorado. Devin Dedier, senior vice president of the Dedier Family Co. told the Business Journal that customers have requested locations in Granite Bay, as well as Elk Grove and Davis.
“The decision to open in Granite Bay was driven by our strong relationship with Merlone Geier, who has been a fantastic partner in this endeavor. Their specific interest in having a Mimosa House within their complex reinforces our belief in the potential of this location. We see this collaboration as a significant opportunity not only for Granite Bay but also as a stepping stone to future endeavors with Merlone Geier along the West Coast, particularly in Southern California,” Dedicer told What Now Sacramento in an email.
As the name suggests, the brunch chain is best known for its extensive bubbles menu, including the iconic mimosa fountain, the mimosa flight, and over 30 flavors of mimosas made with house brut. The food menu includes a wide variety of breakfast and brunch favorites, including savory options like scrambled eggs, omelets, classic items, benedicts, skillets, burritos, and sweet options like crepes, french toasts, waffles, and pancakes.
“At this stage, we are actively engaged in the renovation and remodeling of the space. Our team is working diligently to ensure that every detail aligns with the high standards of hospitality and quality that our guests have come to expect from the Mimosa House brand. We are specifically excited about this restaurant, because it will be the first redesign that our group has made with the Mimosa House brand, in over 8 years. This restaurant will truly embody the future of The Dedier Family companies and where we plan to take The Mimosa House brand further,” Dedier said.
