Construction has begun for Chipotle at 2310 Sunset Blvd in Rocklin, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. West Sacramento-based Engstrom Properties, Inc. announced the groundbreaking on LinkedIn.

“Are you team queso or team guac? 2310 Sunset Blvd., Rocklin broke ground last week and is set to serve up some Chipotle this fall,” the post reads.

The new Chipotle will be an all-electric restaurant with six on-site electric vehicle charging ports. The restaurant will also have a “Chipotlane,” made for mobile order pickups through the drive-thru lane.

“We’re always looking for new communities where we can serve responsibly sourced, classically-cooked, real food and establish new local partnerships, and the Rocklin area is a great fit,” Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (NYSE: CMG) said in a statement emailed to the Business Journal.

Chipotle, known for its bowls, burritos, quesadillas, tacos and salads, currently operates about 40 locations throughout the Sacramento metro with more under development, such as the upcoming location in Rancho Cordova, as previously reported.
