A downtown Sacramento building at 1015 9th St is currently being repurposed into a private envet space. Previously home to many different businesses, the 4,100-square-foot building has sat vacant since August 2022. Now, Sacramento Catering Collective has taken the initiative to turn the space into a private event space called Chariot. This news was first seen in the Sacramento Business Journal.
Founders of the Sacramento Catering Collective, husband-an-wife Joseph and Elizabeth Croteau recently signed the lease as Sacramento Catering Collective has grown to the point where a dedicated private event space became necessary.
“Right now, we are working off-site in local venues and out of the city center where we’ve been traveling to and setting up a pop-up kitchen, but to be able to host on-site will bring more life to this area of the city that we see growing,” Elizabeth Croteau told the Business Journal. “We want to really use our knowledge of events to host here and have wonderful on-site catering.”
Work is currently underway and the operators are anticipating to put Chariot into operations in early December. The two-storey building comes with a kitchen, multiple bars, and several standalone spaces suitable for hosting various events, including small weddings, rehearsals, corporate functions and holiday events.
What Now Sacramento reached out to the operators but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
