Earlier this month, Ethan Conrad Properties published an announcement on their website, stating that a new Raising Cane’s is in the works at Natomas Fountains in Sacramento. The restaurant is located on the northwest corner of Gate Way Park Blvd and N. Freeway Boulevard.

The Raising Cane’s corporation confirmed the new restaurant location with What Now Sacramento, stating the location is expected to open tentatively in Spring 2026. However, no further details were available at this point. Plans filed with the city indicate the brand will build a new 3,181-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru. This location will also have a covered outdoor patio.

“The announcement of a new lease with Raising Cane’s at the Natomas Fountains is indeed thrilling news for the Natomas area community. Raising Cane’s is renowned for its delicious chicken tenders and signature sauce, making it a highly anticipated addition to the local dining scene,” said the announcement.

Natomas Fountains is a 303-unit luxury apartment development occupying 10.6 acres. News about the project was heard in January, 2024. According to a KCRA coverage, construction has yet to begin and the project is anticipated to complete next Spring. Heins is developing the project.

Raising Cane’s is a Louisiana-based quick service restaurant chain known for its chicken fingers. The company took a step back from franchising a few years ago to focus on developing corporate-owned restaurants. Currently, there are 90 Raising Cane’s restaurants in California but only one other location in Sacramento at 3348 El Camino Ave.

“The excitement among residents highlights this new establishment’s positive impact on the community. It provides not only tasty food but also potentially creates job opportunities and fosters a vibrant atmosphere. “It’s wonderful to see the community eagerly welcoming this addition, further enhancing the appeal and convenience of the Natomas area,” stated the announcement.
