A lineup of new eateries is headed to Rocklin as development continues on the upcoming Whitney Ranch shopping center.
Among the tenants slated to join the project is NuYo Frozen Yogurt, according to a report from the Sacramento Business Journal. The dessert shop will open alongside several recognizable fast-casual names, including Jack’s Urban Eats, Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s, and The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill.
The new retail hub is under construction at the southwest corner of Whitney Ranch Parkway and University Avenue. Plans call for a roughly 95,000-square-foot commercial development made up of 10 buildings and anchored by a 44,000-square-foot Nugget Markets.
Local franchisee Andrew Puccioni, who operates a NuYo shop in West Roseville and is also working on bringing the brand to Elk Grove, confirmed to the Business Journal that he and his family plan to open the Whitney Ranch location later this year.
Founded in 2008 by Mackenzie Harder, the California-based brand operates several locations across the state. Its self-serve concept typically features 10 to 16 rotating frozen yogurt flavors alongside shaved ice and more than 50 toppings, ranging from fresh fruit and granola to candy and hot fudge.
An official opening date for the Rocklin NuYo location has not yet been announced. However, most businesses at the Whitney Ranch center are expected to debut in late summer or early fall of 2026.
