Ocean, seafood, and exotic foreign atmosphere. Sacramento residents now have the opportunity to immerse in authentic Peruvian culture and flavor as a new restaurant, Octopus Peru, is set to open within Downtown Sacramento’s Park Tower at 980 9th Street.

A sister restaurant to Octopus Baja, Octopus Peru is another Ernesto Delgado Hospitality Group project and will focus on Peruvian cuisine with a full bar serving traditional drinks. The restaurant will feature a cevicheria with fresh seafood selections and a casual yet upscale ambiance.

The Octopus concept highlights the migration of seafood from Japan to Peru, Peru to Baja, and then to Mexico. And now, Delgado brings the full story to California, with each Octopus restaurant telling the story under a unique theme and setting.

Octopus Peru is currently in the permitting process to finish up some construction improvements. At the time of this coverage, Ernesto Delgado did not get back with What Now Sacramento regarding a detailed opening timeframe, but it is most likely to open sometime in 2024 if all goes as planned.
