Oyster Bar, a seafood and Southern-inspired restaurant in Natomas, is expanding its horizons and bringing its dishes to a new location in Citrus Heights.

The restaurant recently revealed its plans to open a new location via Instagram on Monday alongside a hiring advert for the upcoming location, at 7084 Auburn Blvd.

Owner Duy Pan Tuesday told What Now Sacramento Oyster Bar will likely open in January 2024, but the restaurant is “hoping” for a December 2023 debut.

Pan said the location was chosen because of its “turn key” condition and proximity to Stones Gambling Hall. “We had to just take it over and do minimal construction to get the doors open,” Pan said.

Oyster Bar Citrus Heights is only the beginning for the growing restaurant brand, according to Pan, who said they’re looking for a franchisee or partner to open a third location, either in Elk Grove, Roseville, El Dorado Hills, or Granite Bay.

But because the third location would be owned and operated by a third party, Pan and the team are “open to suggestions” on the location — the only caveat is the space must be at least eight miles from either of the existing Oyster Bar outposts. Interested parties can send an email.

Before opening the Natomas location of Oyster Bar, Pan founded May May Catering, a Vietnamese seafood catering service based in south Sacramento’s Little Saigon neighborhood.
